What is a Honeymoon Registry?

Many newlyweds already have most of the traditional wedding gift items and may wish to offer their guests a popular new wedding gift alternative - the honeymoon registry. This will allow their guests to contribute to their honeymoon memories that will last a lifetime.

How does it work?

When you contribute to the couple's registry, you will receive a gift certificate by mail in the amount off your donation.

Contact Square 1 Travel to purchase a travel gift certificate.

Lauren Stevenson
Nathan Nox

Wedding Date
September 23, 2011

Lauren and Nathan met in the nursing program at North Island College in September of 2008.

Lauren found Nathan dashingly handsome and was curious where his 'accent' was from.

Nathan noticed Lauren noticing him and thought "hmm.. she's an attractive lady... and she's looking at me".

Staring across a classroom became conversation and conversation became hanging and visits became dating.

For some reason, Lauren decided a short way into their relationship that dating someone in the same 4 year program wasn't a good idea; what if it didn't work out?  So Nathan took it upon himself to sell some of his possessions for rent costs, pack up and move to Courtenay from Campbell River to be closer to Lauren and prove that he was the man for her! and well... he did!

Nathan came to be not only the love of Lauren's life but also her best friend.  Neither can imagine life without the other.

On Lauren's birthday last year, Nathan threw Lauren a big surprise birthday party, and proposed in front of a big hall full of family and friends.  Naturally, she said YES!

Our Honeymoon Destination ~ Cuba

Defying all logic, the world’s 105th-largest country is also one of its most instantly recognizable.

Think psychedelic Che Guevara murals and antediluvian American Buicks, dudes with bongos and old men slapping down dominoes, queues outside ration shops and communist cadres smoking chunky Montecristos.

Cuba has a way of going against the grain. It’s all part of its historical make-up, part of its dynamism, part of its intrinsic beauty.
