Laurie and Colin have had
a long history together, spanning just about 14 years!
Colin was a family friend and was also the family
computer repairman.
It wasn’t until the fall of 2005 that they started
hanging out more often, and realized they really enjoyed
each other’s company.
New Year’s 2005 was a mile stone in their relationship.
Laurie’s Grandmother, who is a very wise, and observant
lady, was visiting from California. She saw that there
might be a little more than just friendship. In her
words, “Laurie, I think Colin has eyes for you!” It was
true, Colin did have his eye on Laurie, but Laurie had
hers on Colin too! So on January 28th 0f 2006 they
became a couple.
July 28th 2011 was another mile stone in their
relationship. Colin had a plan, and it worked out just
the way he had hoped! After a nice dinner at the Back
Street Pub in Royston, Colin asked Laurie if she wanted
to watch the sun go down at the beach. So with bottle of
wine and 2 glasses off the beach they headed. It was a
lovely evening that had one more surprise! After the
wine was almost gone and the sun was going down, Colin
got down on one knee and asked Laurie to marry him,
naturally she said yes! |
